Not what I had expected - but I enjoyed it. Not really sci fi, or fantasy, though I really want to put it there. Seven sections, seven versions, circling around, with recurrent reminders of language, words and how it has evolved. On the dark side, more in your head than in your face. Recommended.

I remember watching "The Reincarnation of Peter Proud" when I was younger, and I've been fascinated with the idea of reincarnation ever since.

Midwinterblood is a dark and mysterious tale of reincarnation, with seven interlinking stories that slowly come together.

This was a quick read that was both riveting and thought-provoking, with an element of horror once you realize the connections. I really enjoyed it!

I've had this book on my shelf for months, and have no idea why it took me so long to read. I really enjoyed the structure, and how while each "story" was separate, each but built on the under-arching theme. Once I picked this one up, I finished it in one setting - it had just enough of a thriller type aspect to it to make me want to know what's next. It's definitely dark, but not gory or scary.

This is the first book I've ready by Marcus Sedgwick, but based on this book, I will be adding him to my list to check out more of his works.

Wow I flew though this book. Despite its ugly cover that made me ignore it for weeks, I finally picked it up and really liked the story. It was really strange, but it was nice how everything connected in the end.

I am speechless. This was an incredible book with multiple stories that tie together so well in the end. This is a new favorite that I will recommend to all my friends.

Kind of an interesting book. I liked the structure of it, and how the story was told. I don't want to say too much and give it away! But I was kind of disappointed overall. The story left me feeling kind of empty, and maybe I just didn't get the point of the book. I did enjoy the tales and the characters for the most part. But there are other books I've enjoyed much more.

The premise was great but the book was too fast paced and didn’t flesh out the characters enough for me to care about them properly

This just didn't work for me. The intertwined characters and stories felt contrived rather than mythically destined.
