I'm not sure I like the multiple timelines in this book. At times, it was hard for me to follow along. I'm not sure I like the ending as well. It seemed abrupt to me. Otherwise, I thought that even though the story progression was slow, the events that happened prior to and after Tallulah's disappearance did come together. Generally, this is an interesting take on a disappearance case and I'm happy I read it through.

This kept me guessing until the very end! This novel had well thought-out and detailed characters, accompanied by a slow-brewing mystery. A solid piece of work by Lisa Jewell, and the narrator brought the story full circle. The pace was slow, but well-timed and includes lots of details that all mean something at some point in the story. Would definitely recommend this audio read if you’re on a road trip! It received an Audie Nomination for a reason, and you won’t be disappointed!

I thought this was a solid story, and I definitely didn't predict a lot of the stuff going on. I do love a mother fighting like heck for justice for her daughter. Seemed like kind of a

toxic lesbian relationship though. Like was everything consensual? Just a little sketchy.
