Prufrock is my favorite poem of all time. The others are great and all, but I appreciate them from a certain distance...

The Hollow Men was not included in this edition I imagine? Yeah, that one's probably Eliot's greatest accomplishment even though, again, I'm more of a Prufrock guy. The Wasteland is something I've completely forgotten about and I'll need to study it deeply one of these days (or not, I probably won't).
challenging funny mysterious slow-paced

i sat down in the bookstore with this about 2 minutes ago and i read the entire thing by accident .........

there were a couple that i really enjoyed !!

also can we talk about this cover for a second because !!!!!!!!!!!! its so nice !!!!!!

A mixed bag, but overall, I found most of these poems — particularly the much-lauded Waste Land — to be quite inaccessible.

I don’t understand half of The Wasteland, but I think, maybe, that’s the point. Should be read with contemporary criticisms.

finished right before april!! waiting for the cruellest month!!

I realize this is a great classic but I had to watch a course by Victor Strindberg of Duke University just to understand most of these poems. The Waste Land, for example, seems to necessitate a knowledge of all of Western history, literature, and Western and Eastern religion. Who even understood this poem on their own besides Ezra Pound?

I need someone with a PhD in poetry to explain this to me. I honest to God did not understand one single word of this and about halfway through I quit trying to.
