Didn't like Emily, so weak, no backbone. Garvin deserve someone better...

I’ve read this book 3 times. Needless to say, it’s amazing! Definitely a must read!

I made it 40% through and I cannot finish this mess. I do not understand why people love this book.

The story is bad. There is no suspense beyond when she will choose to be with the right guy. Because it's only a matter of when. From the very beginning, the book establishes that her boyfriend is a lying, abusive cheater, and Gavin is a perfect man and that they are both crazy attracted to each other. Everything else is just filler delaying the inevitable. And the premise that her boyfriend was once a great guy is a total joke. As readers, we get only one scene where he's nice to her and then he acts like a total asshole the rest of the book.

The writing is bad. As though the author doesn't have a firm grasp of the English language, or tries to write the way she speaks, with no filter or proper editing. Sentences like, "And this he knew." after a paragraph where he knew nothing. Or using the word "fucking" as an adjective in really odd places, such as a "mind-fucking conversation about stocks." Other words are used incorrectly throughout, too, like "Can you hog the mirror anymore?" ("Anymore" should be split into two words in this context.)

The POV is bad. The book is primarily told from the perspective of Emily, but then it will randomly jump over to Gavin and tell you what he's thinking and feeling, too. There's no division of chapters or even sections between the characters' point of views. What this results in is a sense of too much telling, not enough showing. I couldn't get into the emotions of the characters well because the POV never stayed with one character and the author told more than showed how they felt.

The humor is bad. I thought I was reading a book from the 1990s when a character showed up as a classic valley girl who said "like" all the time, and all the other characters thought it was hilarious to mock her behind her back. Gavin jokes with Emily every time they meet about her giving him a fake name the second time they met, calling her Molly. It's the lamest, most boring thing. Oh, and she has a running joke with him about going to the library to meet smart girls. Gavin actually tells her she's funny for this.

The characters are bad. Emily is a dumb pushover. Dillon is an over-the-top douchebag. Any female character that competes for the affections of either Dillon or Gavin is presented as either a slut or a ditz. Gavin is your typical romantic male lead and I don't have much of a problem with him except when he acts as immature as Emily usually does.

Really liked this book!! It reminded me a little of Thoughtless. Gavin was a sexy sweetheart, however he was no Kellan Kyle!! If you are into an angsty, steamy, love triangle then this is the book for you. The love scenes were some of the hottest I have ever read too. This love triangle was a little easier to bear bc Dillon was a complete douche!! Its not like you are feeling sorry for him at all. It does end on a cliffhanger, but it wasn't an unbearable cliffhanger. I definitely recommend this book!

Noooooo!!!! That was my first reaction when I read the last line of the book. I couldn't put it down and stayed up until 2am to finish it. I love Gavin and want to slap Emily upside the head (but in a semi-good way). Waiting for part 2 is going to drive me insane! More! Now!

Could not put this one down! Whew! What an emotional roller coaster. Constantly whipped lash back and forth. I seriously wanted to smack Emily more than a few times.
This was also a different style of writing than I'm accustomed to for reading a love story. Gail takes the perspective of everyone's view and all at once. Very different and interesting.
Bottom line: can't wait to read the next one!

This book is difficult for me to rate. I thought it was supposed to be similar to 50 Shades of Grey so it threw me for a loop when it wasn't about S&M etc. Then I began to wonder what category of book it was....a romance, chick lit, ??? I think it's supposed to be romance, but it's not like Nicholas Sparks romance. It's got the whole love-story thing going on, and there's some sex scenes included also. Very similar to the Beautiful series by Christina Lauren, I guess. It was interesting and a fun read! I will be moving on to the next book in the series, so I would say I liked it overall.

I LOVED this book! A lot more then I expected. After reading some reviews about how annoying Emily was, I was reluctant to read it. However, I loved this book. I could not put it down. Although this book reminded me of the Thoughtless series only because Emily was as stupid as Kiera. However, Denny was not like Dillon. I HATED dillon. I wish Emily would have stuck up for herself. I usually dont like reading books involving a girl who is in love with her boyfriend and then falls in love with someone else. However, Dillon was a straight A Asshole. He did not deserve her. I wanted to smack him so many times. I also found myself rolling my eyes numerous times over Emily's stupidity of believe Dillon after everything. And poor Gavin. Ugh Gavin is amazing! Probably one of the top book boyfriends after Kellan Kyle and Travis Maddox. I really hope Emily gets her head out of her ass. I cant wait to read the second one. Gavin broke myheart every time he begged Emily and yet Emily constantly lied about her feeling hurting them both.

4.5 stars. Dillion was an absolute dick! Emily needed to grow a backbone and Gavin was to die for (even if he was chasing his friend's girl). I loved the story of these three. It evoked all kinds of emotions, but at the end I was just as devastated as Emily and Gavin. In to book 2 and hopefully a HEA!
