I DEVOURED this. I absolutely loved the main character, Raewyn. She was so refreshing from the recent fmc’s I’ve read about in that she wasn’t totally naive and constantly making terrible decisions. We got to see her think things through in a realistic way. She didn’t always make the right choice but it made the character feel that much more real and relatable. There were so many times I thought to myself and wondered how I would’ve reacted differently in her situations but honestly not sure I would’ve have. I especially loved that we didn’t get the awful miscommunication, third act break up when she made her confessions to Stellon and Pharis.

Our mmc, Stellon, was just so lovable. Even if he was a bit clueless at times, the storyline made it clear that he was just blinded by his love for Raewyn by showing how quickly Pharis picked up on all of the clues. He did sort of give off Benedict Bridgerton vibes when trying to figure out a solution to keeping Raewyn around (iykyk) but he was quick to realize why his ideas were not great.

The storyline was so addicting and kept me on the edge of my seat. I haven’t stayed up late to finish a book (literally could not put it down for the whole second half) in a long time. I loved the Cinderella retelling and the whole time I was just dying to know how it was going to work out.

BUT THAT ENDING?!?! sos why do that to us 💔

I.NEED.MORE!! Like what?! Omgsh I am soooo looking forward to book too because the writing was so good before I looked up I was done and then instantly wanted to cry because I need MORE. There are so many things that could happen that I just what to be dropped right back into this world so I can see what more these characters get themselves into🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ I don’t even know what emotion to have right now but what I do know is this story is GOLD, you need to read it. So so good!

A dangerous bargain. An obsessed prince. A forbidden love that could split the Fae court... and break the world.”

An interesting take on the Cinderella idea, no one can resist a sexy tall fae man after all. Add in the forbidden romance and forced proximity, and we’ve got an intriguing setup.

Overall this was a really pleasant read. It was slow to start but picked up around the middle and end, leaving a cliffhanger that has me curious for book 2.

I wish we got to see the characters more in depth. There was reference to several conversations that happen off-page which I do not mind, however I think my perception of the relationships would have been deeper if I’d got to read them. But I am still intrigued about our main pairings potentially fated connection.

I think this book best suits newbies to the romantasy genre, with interesting yet clear world building and plot arcs.

Oh I loved this one!!

Thanks NerdFam for letting me read this early! I lived the cinderella vibes but with a twist because we have a human/fae world! My favourite bit is the different POV. I felt this gave me a more in depth feel of how the characters felt about one another. It was a quick read and I am OBSESSED with the cover!!!

This book had some interesting aspects and was an interesting play on Cinderella.

I personally struggled a lot with the pacing of this book. The first half felt a bit slow and dragged out which was hard to get into. Then it picked up but it felt like most of the major conflict was in the last few chapters which ended on a major cliffhanger where it felt like nothing had really been resolved.

I liked the two main characters but I struggled to root for them as a couple because we didn’t really get much character development or a lot of scenes to see their relationship grow and how they actually got to that point. It felt less slow burn and more falling way too fast given the timeline and the amount of their friendship/relationship on the page.

I am intrigued to read book 2 and see what happens in the story next.
