I always enjoy the dual time line format and am eager to see how they eventually connect. Fiona Davis has a very appealing way of using this format to tell fictional stories built around real historical figures and fascinating New York buildings; while I think I enjoyed Lions of Fifth Avenue more, this was still interesting just a little bit slow-paced I found. I actually might have enjoyed the author's note at the end even more, it was cool to hear what parts were true, which weren't and learn some additional history about the people and artwork mentioned in the story. I definitely plan on becoming a Fiona Davis completist though, and maybe if I am lucky will get to go visit some of the places she writes about when I eventually get to visit New York someday.
