Enjoyed this historical fiction piece and learning of the Frick dynasty. A great book club read.

Didn’t really pick up until the last third of the book, when everything started to FINALLY come together. But I liked the way everything tied up in the end!

I like the overlapping of 2 historical stories creating fiction.

An interesting story told from two different points in history. I really like how she used some of the real history of the Frick family as well as the model to weave a beautiful and fun mystery.

I love historical fiction. What really help was at the end the author went through and explained her research and how she put fact to fiction and what might have been adjusted.

The story line was easy to follow, but I was never fully entranced. It was an easy read.

For me, it dragged on a bit and although interesting in its own way, it wasn’t a page turner for me. Lots of characters and story lines.

I think this book was just okay. I liked the concept, and i thought the beginning was fairly engaging, but the relationships between the characters and the plot fell flat for me.
