makes me angry to know how many people still do not understand the plight of us, as women. i will never understand if they cannot see it or just turn a blind eye. Chimamanda's life seemed difficult but she is truly inspiring.

I listened to this and I kept thinking “wow that was awesome, I want to write that down” every five seconds so basically you should just read/listen to it. audiobook is 45 minutes and I listened to it at 2.75x. loved that the author read it too!! so good and so important

Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass das Buch zu der Zeit, zu der es rausgekommen ist bzw. der TED Talk stattgefunden hat, eine Wichtigkeit hatte. Heute sind wir meines Erachtens nach in feministischen Debatten deutlic weiter. Die Autorin argumentiert u.a. biologistisch und sozialisationstheoretisch, welche beides meiner Ansicht nach überholte Konzepte sind.
