I really enjoyed the fantasy side to the story and the Indian mythology. The love story between the two main characters was eye roll/groan worthy and some irrelevant and pointless things were added which got a bit old.

I really do not like this book. Not any part of it. Not at all. I've read it twice now, both for the Rabid Readers club, and I disliked it the second time even more than the first time. I found myself hate-reading, talking back to all the ridiculous things in the book. I would never have kept reading if it wasn't for book club.

The beginning of the book caught my attention, and I was intrigued by the story line. It kind of fell apart after that more me. The writing felt a bit juvenile. I didn’t like the back and forth with the romance or the hint of a possible love triangle. I think it just wasn’t for me.

I quit this book when Ren asked Kelsey if he could kiss her and she got mad at him for asking and said that asking was dumb. Girl what?
