entertaining, animated look at our heart and brain purely anthropomorphically...a nice palate cleanser for kicks between deep reads.
How can you read this and not relate to basically every page?? If you have anxiety and constantly feel like your heart and brain are kicking up a fuss: this is the read for you!!
I've been on a kick of reading books of people whose comics I follow somewhere. This is no exception; Awkward Yeti has another book out, but this was immediately available, so that's what I went with.
It was exactly as charming as the comics, although this only has heart and brain and not the rest of the body. Pleasant, light, might be exactly what you need to distract you after reading the news.

I can’t remember when I started following The Awkward Yeti. It had to be at least a year ago or more that I saw someone share one of his Heart and Brain comics on Facebook and I was hooked.
What I love about these comics is that they’re so simple – such a simple concept of a heart and a brain – but they’re brought to life so well. They’re always funny, but so many of them are philosophical as well, and really make you reevaluate what the hell you’re doing in life.
Heart and Brain belong to The Awkward Yeti, who I’m assuming is the stand-in for the artist, Nick Seluk. Brain is the logical one, always trying to work hard and do the right thing – trying to save and not make rash decisions – generally living the safe and complacent life. But Heart is the polar opposite. Heart always wants to have fun and shirk responsibility and chase a good time. Heart is all about living, not just existing.
As you read through the comics you imagine these internal battles happening between your own brain and heart, and depending on which way you lean, feel that you could probably be a little more of the other thing. It’s always a struggle in finding that right balance, if such a thing exists.
Life, am I right?
This one is probably one of my favorites:

And this one, just for fun:

Also, this review is the best!

Concise Review:

This art not only uplifted my mood but also helped me feel more understood and less alone.
Detailed Review:
Maybe I'll go more in depth into my thoughts/feelings about the book and/or discuss my favorite panels when I have time one day.

These comics hit close to home, whether it's trying (and failing) to budget, your brain keeping you awake at night remembering that stupid thing you said earlier, or feeling clobbered by the news. But the happier moments of life are there, too, reminding us to chase the butterflies and smell the flowers, and that we can follow our passions, and to never stop being curious.
How can you not love The Awkward Yeti? Love it. Quick and fun read.
