I'm a bit more critical because of all the hype this book gets.

It's good, not mindblowing, but good.
The story was a tad too slow for me, but the ending made it all worth it.

I was starting to feel fatigued with this book about halfway through. I think it was a combination of the detailed descriptions (I’m mixed on this—I enjoyed visualizing and immersing myself in the glitzy stuff but I also wanted the story to get on with it) and some of the very shallow characters. For example: Eddie. I don’t really understand the point of him being there other than to add an extra coating of crazy rich (which, again, while entertaining I just wanted the story to moooove). Once we got to the wedding everything started rolling and I couldn’t put the book down. Nick finally getting a clue and standing up for Rachel was so satisfying. I absolutely loved the last handful of pages where we learn about Kerry’s past. At first I wasn’t sure if I would continue on to the next book in the trilogy but now I’m interested to read more about what happens next, especially with Astrid.

I wasn't planning to read the first book since I've watched the movie but oh my I didn't regret reading it eventually because
IT HAS A DIFFERENT PLOT?!?
I'm telling you, the book is so much better.

This book, series to be exact, is full of money and poor people discrimination (it's not THAT bad but if you've read it, you'll get my point). Every time Rachel meets an Aunty or an Uncle or the cousins, they impliedly asking her "Are you Rich?" "Do you want Nick's money?" Like? Mind your own business?? And Eleanor UGHH she ALWAYS trying to find the bad in Rachel when the other Aunties are getting to accept Rachel. It seems like the word ‘privacy’ doesn't exist in their world, Eleanor is a freaking stalker. She could be curious about someone's life and the next day she knows everything, everything

Apparently the book isn't just about Rachel and Nick, but also some other stories like Astrid and her family problems, Eleanor being a stalker, the psycho Aunties. I swear, I can be rich if I get a dollar for every time anyone trying to bring Rachel down. I enjoy reading this series more than I expected honestly, although yeah, it has a lot of dramas but this is one good chick-lit.
