One of the rare instances for me where the movie was better (HP and the Philosopher's Stone, LOTR)

The movie was better. Faster paced and more involved in the romance. I'm just so bored hearing about people but they aren't DOING anything

I thought the audio book was well done. The ending of the book is a little strange but I just read an interview with the author that he plans to make this story a trilogy, so that explains the ending. Some of the characters are a little tiresome but perhaps that's the point.

I just couldn’t go pass 100 pages, couldn’t get into it, the only story I cared about was Astrid.
I still want to watch the movie, though.

I really enjoyed this author’s style... but that was about it. The constant rejection of Rachel and the bad behavior of the filthy rich mostly made me feel intensely uncomfortable for 87% of the book. It was very well written— but overall it just wasn’t a book for me.
