Super fun novella, can be read as a stand alone since it is a prequel but i find it is more fulfilling of a book if you follow it up with The Girl in the Steel Corset. It isn’t spooky, but it can be a bit unnerving if you are on the younger side, overall if you want an introduction to steampunk I highly recommend!
