one of the cutest books i’ve read in a long time! every one of the characters is lovable and unique. i really like that the main character is 40, and he gets to still have his adventure.

I'm gradually adding books I've read in 2021 to give a true reflection of the books I've read since keeping records.  This was the first book I read in 2021, and is what kick-started my reading journey having put reading on the back burner whilst bringing up the children, previously being an avid reader.  A fantasy  magical book, The umbrella academy meets Mis peregrines home for peculiar children. It's a great thought provokin  read, with a different slant on those with differences. Links Baker is the caseworker assigned to employed asses and to look at homes / orphanages by the Department in charge of magical youth. He is sent to the island The house on the Cerulean Sea to report on the practices of Arthur Parnasses and Zoe a sprite and 6 magical children. Wonderful with LGBTQ + themes. I loved it

if i had a nickel for every time i red about the relationship between a skinny supernatural entity and a chubby workaholic guy who finds out that things aren't just black and white, I'll have two nickels! which isn't alot but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

I loved this book so much! The setting was crafted so well, I could imagine the world so easily. I love that young adult novels have a unique way of making the world so visible.

I was intrigued right away with this hyperbolic world of grayness turned to color at the cerulean sea. Linus was a rule follower who had his eyes opened when they were splashed with a little bit of color, and I love him for it.

There is so much sincerity in this book, andthe found family aspect is just so sweet. I just felt so happy reading it the whole time.

I think TJ Klune did a good job creating a story that felt fun and exciting, even if the plot wasn't a complex thing. This is not really and adventurous book, but a portrait of hope and found family. I love all the characters so much.
