Finally! I love that Curran and Kate did not let their pride/ego get in the way of them getting together. When it was clear that there was some sort of misunderstanding, despite their doubts about each other they decided to give it another chance (and Curran was the more willing party to sort out their misunderstanding. I love him for it). They did not drag their standoff a lot longer than necessary (unlike other books).
It's rare for me to love the female protagonist in a book but I love Kate because she's not afraid to make hard choices. She doesn't pretend that she knows best, but she tries hard to do what she thinks is best. As powerful and as skillful as she is, she's not cringing-ly arrogant.

This is like, 4.9998 stars...dangerously, precariously close to 5 stars. Oh, what the heck, it's 5 stars

Loved:
"As You Wish", which admittedly I did not get right away. I thought the use of the "L" word was a continuity issue and then realized that I was missing an important reference.

Kate & Curran. I adored the direction and the path to the HEA.

Hated:
Hate is a strong word. In this case, I would say 'mildly annoyed'. Everything about the writing still feels a little 'today I feel like making the characters do this' or 'today I think our ID badges should have some kind of ID gimmick'.

Overall:
I'm just praying that the series doesn't continue just to die a slow, agonizing death (think Sookie Stackhouse). To me, this could have been a great ending and everyone would have been happy...but wait, there's another book?! I hope this doesn't mean forced drama and conflict for the sake of continuing...

These books are so entertaining and Kate Daniels does not suffer from "not like other girls" syndrome and you dont see that very often in fantasy/action books! Also the slow burn is finally BURNING

I really enjoyed this book. Finally the series is where folks promised me it would get. It was funny, witty and fast paced. If you aren't an ardent reader, I'd not read this series because it took its time getting here. This book wouldn't be nearly as good without having all the back story of the previous ones.
