“But maybe that was the trick of it: to survive, to dare to stay alive, to forge your own hope when all hope had run out.”

I am both happy and sad. This ending to the Grishaverse (that we know of so far) had me laughing, crying, giggling, wanting to fight in battle??? Okay that was a joke but I honestly feel so fulfilled.

Zoya has had one hell of a character arc and slowly became one of my favourite characters in this universe. Nina will always have a piece of my heart and Nikolai will forever be the muck around banter king

I'm still giving this a 5 star rating despite the storyline being all over the place. Don't get me wrong, I loved Nina's character as part of the Crows but this arc with Hanne felt so rushed? Like it's being squeezed in just for the sake of it. Not just that, but alot ALOT is happening all throughout the entire book it's surprisingly got me bored 🥱 I was at a point of just skimming to get through with it because I wanted more of Nikolai and Zoya's scenes! There was too much POVs going around it's getting hard to keep track and get excited. Leigh should have just written like novellas for these side characters' POV she kept throwing in and not bombard it here. Honestly, if it weren't for Nikolai, Zoya and the brief appearance of Kaz, Jesper and Wylan, this book would 👎

3 and 1/5 stars.

i think this book is good, but not when you expect it to be like six of crows.
this was mostly about politics, so i didn’t really liked it. (i loved nina’s povs though)
