As always, I don't really rate non fiction books. However I will say I really liked this. It felt like Dederer had seen into my mind and snatched my concern to put in this book. Even in the time it took me to read this, I came across a 'monster' scenario to struggle with. The book does not really reach a definitive conclusion which makes sense as it's not a wikihow article. The way each chapter is structured makes this very readable and each case study is well explained and well referenced. I thoroughly enjoyed how personal this was and would recommend it to anyone who has faced a similar dilemma (and id wager most people have in this day and age)

At first I was concerned I’d read/heard all this before, and while it was interesting I didn’t think it was worth a whole book. But she really brought it around in an interesting way. Didn’t expect to examine my own monsterishness.
