I admire Twyla Tharp and appreciated the look into her creative process.

The best book I've ever read on creativity and how to nurture and make the most of it in your own life.

I found this book inspiring and informative! Many of the included exercises were interesting and thought provoking. While much of the book is about her experience as a dancer/choreographer, she does a great job of translating her message to be applicable in other art forms.

I am not in a creative field, nr am I particularly creative in my personal time; however, I enjoyed reading about Tharp's process. She is truly a master at what she does and a lot can be said about her commitments to her habits (a la Gretchen Rubin).

I love the layout of this book. Large font, regular font, red font for attention... in the end, it validated that we all have what it takes to be a ‘creative’- we just have to do it.

This is a keeper for any artist, full of useful advice, reminders, and stories. Tharp can be a lot to take at times, but there's no question she's a master of her craft, and has the decades of experience to support her recommendations.
