If you watched Bridgertons season 1, please know that Daphne might be the most boring Bridgerton. Honestly, I think Eloise is one of the most interesting Bridgertons, but her big moment (aka this book) was sort of flat overall. Thought the story, it her spunky attitude was mentioned over and over, but we didn't really get to see it. I was left wishing there was more character development that described Eloise as something more that a sister and potential wife. I was WISHING she was written as a strong female character but she fell really flat.

One thing Julia Quinn does well is she really sibling dynamics. The dialogue was funny, the brothers were appropriately ridiculous, and the way they all reverted back to basically children when they fought was truly delightful. As a girl with a few ridiculous brothers, I liked the moments Eloise shared with the Bridgerton boys. I also liked the lovestory (sort of more or less). I thought the addition of the children made it interesting.

Phillip is so angsty and Eloise is so impulsive.

I enjoyed and love Eloise as a character and am glad she got to be a mother. This one was refreshing because it is away from 'The Ton', so no balls and not quite so many characters.

so many beautiful lines!! > “life never happens to you. Trust me on this. I’ve watched you grow up, had to be your father at times when I wanted to only be your brother.” > “don’t let your impatience become all that you are.” > and the whole epilogue!!

to quote Abby Lee Miller’s dance moms pyramid audio: “you didn’t stand out to me”. I thought it was a fun read but added very little to my intellect or knowledge of the bridgerton world. I loved Eloise as always, and seeing all the brothers together warmed my heart. Sophie and Benedict having attention made me squeal. But it was kinda meh. Didn’t love Phillip, found the story mediocre. Yeah I don’t think I need to reread this one any time soon

Llegit en anglès. Eloise deserved better! I mean no thank you.
Tot i això el llibre té alguns moments i per això no té una super mala puntuació.

I enjoyed the depth of some of the characters. There were some parts that were a bit too slow for me. I wished that Eloise had more cha yet development.
