To Sir Philip, With Love is one of my favorites in the Bridgerton series. I usually do not read books like this, and even when I do I tend to hate them, but Eloise has always been the character I admired most. While part of me wishes she had remained single and powerful, her world would not have allowed it. Philip, flawed yet steady, feels like the right partner for her. What lingers most is Marina’s death, a sorrow that casts its shadow over the romance. The book holds both love and loss, and that duality is what makes it unforgettable.

This book quite literally says that some men don't even have emotions? I'm sorry what? How can you be human and not have emotions? I bring this up because I feel like this surmises Phillip's character of constantly trying to pretend he cares about nothing and feels nothing. His wife dies in the beginning and he barely tries to help his kids through their grief. These two 8 years olds do more to try to comfort him than he does to help them... or even spend time with them (The Bare Minimum).
Also, what happened to Eloise? She's so fun and cool and I was expecting to this at least to be a book of letters showing how she falls for him through writing. Nope. The letters end in chapter one and she runs away to Phillip because she's lonely. This book is my least favorite thus far.

3.5 stars, good but not on my 'favorite' shelf.

Mostly because I feel that Eloise's the one who fight for them. I know Phillip's wounded from his previous marriage but seriously, I think Eloise gave up so many things and Phillip didn't love her enough. Or maybe him showing his love is not apparent. I don't really like it.

I wish there'll be more drama in the end. But overall I enjoyed it.

Phillip Crane might be the worst romantic protagonist of all time actually. I hate him. I hate him so much!!!!!

One star for all four Bridgerton boys bursting into his home to beat him up.

I love eloise so much, and I like the idea of falling in love with your spouse after you're married, but phillip pissed me off so bad. annoying man! I'm glad
anthony and benedict tried to kill him.

Out of the Bridgerton series this is my least favourite 😅
It started promising, but quickly bored me and it was a pain to finish it. I didn't like Sir P as well...
