I don’t know why I’m attempting to write a measly review for this book. Words fail to describe how I feel about it. When I finished it, I just sat in contemplative silence periodically for several days following. It wasn’t hard to make peace with the

bleakness of the ending

because I think that was the intention. It’s everything I wanted and didn’t know I wanted from a work of speculative lit. A gift, but one wrapped in a brown paper bag.
