I really enjoyed the beginning and was hoping to learn more about their world, so I was disappointed to find out neither the audience nor the characters learn much about anything that happened to them. The story really dragged out with the same sequence of events happening over and over again and I found unit hard to even care about anyone after the first few chapters.
