When I picked this one up, I didn’t realize it was part of a series with Float Plan, but I enjoyed getting to continue Anna and Keane’s story here. This book was heartfelt and frankly a little heartbreaking. The story was beautiful and I loved the sense of exploration.

I’m glad I picked this up on a whim, and I’ll keep coming back to Trish Doller for more.

This book was a whirlwind adventure in Ireland and I read it easily in a few hours.

Carla is in Ireland for her best friend's wedding (Anna and Keane from Float Plan, book 1 of the series) and she immediately kisses Eamon (Keane's brother) in a pub when he picks her up to drive her to the wedding.

They have an immediate connection and decide to take some off-road adventures on the way there. It starts at a fling until feelings become involved. I loved their side journeys, especially the run in with the bull, and loved them just having so much fun.

There are also some sad parts as Carla's dad has dementia so she eventually goes home after so much of traveling the world to spend (what turns out) to be his last days. I cried, I admit.

I also love the end where Carla and Eamon travel the world together.

Super cute, fun, quick read. I didn’t realize this was part of a series so read it stand-alone. I don’t think you need the other books for context.

I may go back and try again someday, but it felt like a book written about Ireland by someone who had never visited there. I didn't love the writing style and some of the plot felt forced to me. Wanted a fun themed read to accompany me on my trip to Ireland, but found it lacking what I wanted.

Carla Black is hitching a ride from Dublin to celebrate her best friend’s wedding with Eamon, the groom’s brother. She’s a Florida bartender who works only to fund her worldwide trips. He’s a digital mapmaker who dreams of travel. The three-hour drive to the wedding location turns into a days-long adventure as their chemistry ignites and Carla encourages Eamon to follow his heart.

I’ve never read a book by Trish Doller. Now I’ll be adding all her books to my TBR. I expected this to a fun, light-hearted read and it was. What I also got were characters with depth and a story that drew me in and kept me invested throughout. I was surprised to find this was a shorter book, it was so fleshed out I felt I’d read a longer novel.

I really enjoyed Off the Map and can’t wait to go back to read Float Plan and The Suite Spot, the first two books in this series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for this ARC.

I have been a fan of Trish Doller since the beginning. Float Plan hit me right in the feels and I loved book two, so of course I requested book three. This was very different from the last two, but the ending still hit me right in the feels. Carla is traveling to Ireland for her best friend Anna's wedding. She is supposed to meet Keane's brother Eamon, to drive her to the destination.
As soon as Carla and Eamon meet, there is a pull, like instantly, and it never lets go. Carla travels all over ever since her dad, Biggie, was taking her as a child. She has wanderlust and she feels like she will never settle down. Eamon is more straight laced, but really wants to experience more. They set out on a journey together that has ups and downs, but they both feel something real between them.
A little more than halfway into the book, Carla returns home because her father has dementia and isn't doing well. She leaves Eamon with the hopes that he will find exactly what he is looking for, but what he has been looking for is her. The angst from this book wasn't felt with the romance, because you could feel that these two were destined, but from the father/daughter relationship. It hit me right in the heart and I might have even shed a tear or two.
Thank you to St. Martin's, Netgalley and Trish Doller for an early copy.
