Carla Black is a bartender who works part of the year and the travels the remainder of the year. She is full of wanderlust and that way she is fulfilled by being able to travel to her hearts content. She currently finds herself in Ireland for her best friend's wedding and she is meeting up with the best man in Dublin to make the trek to Tralee where the wedding will take place.
Eamon Sullivan loves travel as well, but makes his living my creating digital maps for travel, not because he gets to travel much himself. He's not entirely happy with where his life is at right now, having just gotten out of a relationship, he's not loving his work like he used to and he's finding that his road trip with Carla, the maid of honor, might be happening right on time.
The chemistry between Carla and Eamon is immediate. When they realize they both like the adventure of travel, Carla talks him into taking some detours on the way to the wedding. These detours could change the trajectory of their lives and they may not even realize it. Will they allow it to happen?
This was an enjoyable adventure with two very likable characters. I enjoyed the trip we got to take across Ireland as well. If you haven't read the first two books in the series, this can be read as a standalone without issue, but it's a great series, so I do recommend reading the whole thing.
I received an advance copy of the book from the publisher and voluntarily left this review. #NetGalley

I cannot begin to imagine what losing someone to dementia would do to my self esteem. Their frustration and the issue of thinking I'm just not memorable enough. Geez that's rough.
P.S. Trish Doller, please write my love story.

This book is not really a romance, yes, they are two people who fall in love, quite fast if I may add, but it really isn’t about their love story, in fact Eamon disappears for quite a chunk after Carla decides goes back home.
It really is about love and lost, and the lengths some people will go to shelter their hearts when you have been hurt, specially parents and the long path to healing.

So this cover is the main reason I wanted to read this one (shh don't tell anyone)
Off the Map by Trish Doller is Book #3 in the "Beck Sisters" Contemporary Romance Series!!
Characters:
Carla Black travels the world in her Jeep, avoids serious relationships, and never returns home - all out of choice.
Eamon Sullivan is a digital cartographer who seems to have lost his way after getting dumped - not out of choice.
When these two strangers meet up in Dublin for a wedding for friends/relation, sparks fly, and their chemistry is through the roof instantly!!
Carla and Eamon were not my favorite couple in the series, but they did grow on me though. I enjoyed reading to their playful banter, and I understood their serious, complicated sides once their backstories were explained. Their individual family dynamics give noticeable texture to the story and reveal the uniqueness and differences between the Black and Sullivan family structures.
The topic of Alzheimer's is handled realistically and with sensitivity in this story. I cried so many of tears at the end of this one due my Aunt having Alzheimers so I related to this one a bit more knowing the struggles.
Although Off the Map isn't my favorite of this series, I did enjoy the connection between Carla and Eamon, and I do recommend it to all who love Rom-Com's with the door wide open. Although each book is a standalone story, I recommend reading this series in order as you won't regret it!!
I am giving this one 3.5 stars!!
Overall: it’s easy to read and enjoy!! I highly recommend to romance lovers like me!!
Special thanks to NetGalley & St. Martin's Griffin for sharing this digital reviewer copy with me in exchange my honest thoughts!!

When a book touches me enough to make me cry, I have to rate it highly. It was a sweet story that had a good dose of travel and adventure mixed in.
I just really didn't enjoy this. Very fast paced, and not in a good way. Oddly too many sex scenes? It just didn't compel me very well. And I literally started reading this on the plane home from Dublin, so I was primed to love it and it really underwhelmed me. Tbh, I think the fact that this is a part of a series worked against it. This really didn't work as a standalone. All the characters felt horribly flat. The family stuff was interesting but really not fleshed out.
Just a heads up, this book will probably make you cry (not because it's bad, I promise), cause it made me sob.
This is the third book in the series and it does contain some small spoilers for the first two in the series, but it can definitely be read as a standalone.
This book was a very sweet and quick read. I enjoyed it very much! I loved the relationship between Carla and her dad, Biggie.
I loved the character development as well. Carla realizes what she needs most is to return home and Eamon realizes he needs to do what he wants with his life, instead of trying to make others happy.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and I would recommend to those who have read the previous books in the series.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Holy cow, I didn't realize how hard hitting this book was. It's so much more than a romance. In fact, the romance took a back seat to the rest of the story.
Biggie is just precious, and I loved any scene involving him. Carla's relationship with her dad was so wholesome. I also loved the update on Anna!
Ireland is my most favorite place in the world, so of course the setting was just perfection.
I have almost nothing in common with Carly, and insta romance isn't my favorite so I felt the romance to fall flat.
With all that said, it's still a solid 4 star. I always love anything Trish Doller writes!
