the dialogue was so cringeee. there were also some moments that felt lowkey fatphobic. i didnt agree with the portrayal of some of the fights either. like i just had a lot of issues with the end of the book especially. bummer, bc i liked the premise of this.

Almost DNF’d about a million times. The audiobook narrators were awful. And I almost never say that. I genuinely looked to see if it was AI because things just seemed so poorly done. Story had good bones but didn’t flow and tie together well or realistically.

Meghan Quinn is queen of slapping me with all the feels when reading her books. It's always a roller coaster ride, but one I'm happy to be on. This book was a real romcom & I loved the setting for it. However, I kind of thought Dakota was the worst best friend in the world & found that the love between Bonnie & Rowan felt kind of "instant". Overall, not my favorite Quinn book but still a goodie!

THE PERFECT LAST READ BEFORE CC3!!! It was so cute and I loved Bonny I just felt like she is me :) didn’t love how he yelled at her and that’s the only reason it’s not higher but it was very very sweet

There are definitely times when I don't love Bonnie as a character, but I feel like it works to lighten a story with a lot of pain woven into it.

I really liked the concept of this book. It had a few downfalls, like Bonnie was insufferable in the beginning of the book and it was also very obvious the author had never been to Scotland, but overall it was fine. I did end up skim reading a lot of the book though, so take that as you will.
