Ok this one took me a little longer to get into, once I did I really enjoyed it. I will admit it did take me a while to take to Winter, which makes me feel bad with everything she went through

Loved! Just as good as the first!

Beautiful Savage by Caroline Peckham and Susan Valenti was easily a 5 star read. This book was like 2 books in one and took me for such a wild ride and I loved it. 🥰

When I got about 50% through I was like, they can't end this way, and of course, I was only at 50%, so I knew it wasn't going to end that way. And based on the authors, I knew that something bad was coming, I had a sense of it. I didn't want it to happen, but I knew it had to happen. 😭 And when it did happen, I was like oh, shit.

What I really loved about this one was how it allowed the characters to be who they really are. Nicoli and Winter are the focus but you do get more of the Romero brothers and Sloan. 🥰

After the events of Beautiful Carnage, Nicoli starts his story in the woods trying to figure himself out. Winter on the other hand is a mystery. She's a kidnapped girl, being tortured for information. But she doesn't know the information. By some kind of luck, she and Nicoli find each other on the mountain. 😈

And so their story begins, on a mountainside. Both up there for completely different reasons. And kind of needing each other but not knowing that they need each other. There wasn't really a major shift in character growth. They both grew by the end, but who they were in the beginning versus who they are at the end, aren't 2 completely different characters. 🪞

I really hope that Frankie and Enzo end up getting their own books, especially considering how much they said they didn't want love. I would love to watch them fall in love. Frankie I think would enjoy it. Enzo, I feel like might destroy something if his love story is anything like Rocco & Sloan or Nicoli & Winter.
