This book has a very interesting premise that is executed well: A workaholic bodyguard finds herself against her will in a fake dating work assignment that soon begins to blur the emotional lines of faking, meanwhile there is a threat constantly in the background waiting to emerge and her personal life going through a turmoil that makes the situation even messier. This is a sweet romance read with touches on heavier topics of grief and self-doubt stirring the pot.

This was a fun rom-com style read. The main characters had good energy between them and the plot was entertaining.

I don’t normally like books written in the second person, but once I settled into it, it felt like I was having coffee with a friend. Some parts literally made me LOL and others got me choked up. It’s a good book.
