I just love this series! I was a little confused because it seemed like this book was going to focus on Simone and Seph, but I’m so happy with the way it turned out!
Heat definitely gave us exactly what the title said. I'm also a sucker for a book where the H is a single parent and h is a headstrong woman who knows what she wants and works her tail off to get it!
Simone is a successful chef and restaurateur. We have seen glimpses into her through the other Callaghan Green books, and I was very happy to see that she was getting a book of her own. Jack is one of the head chefs in a restaurant that he owns. The two have explosive chemistry that could not be contained. Slowly they begin to break down each others walls, their personalities complimenting each other in so many different ways.
One of the things I loved about this book is the layers that are weaved through the story. There is a little bit of everything - romance, steamy times, some suspense, love and a little bit of heartache. I don't want to give too away, but its a perfect addition to the already awesome Callaghan Green series.

Oh boy, Annie Dyer turned up the fire in this book! Simone is a hot London chef who has been married twice and wasn't in the mood to get into another relationship ever again. Jack was one of her head chefs and slowly works his way into her heart, along with his daughter. They both have baggage, but they are both willing to figure it out. Add in the mystery of what's going on with the new restaurant and you have a great quick read with some smoking hot love scenes. If you have read the rest of the Callaghan Green books you will love this addition, there are plenty of pop ins from the others, so it's best to get those books read first to help understand. Another great book by Annie!
For a spin-off with guest appearances by previous characters, this was a great book! Max is still my favorite, but Jack is right up there! So good, ready for more!
This book was sooooo good! It’s the story of Simone and Jack. They’re both chefs, but she’s the boss, a Michelin-star chef. I liked the fact their love story is unconventional with her history and him having a teenaged daughter and a particular ex-wife. I also loved knowing more about what’s happening in the Callaghans’ lives, it made me want to re-read the series! Anyway, Simone and Jack are hot together and are a perfect match. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
After meeting Simone quiet a few times it was great to see she finally got a book too as she really is part of the Callaghan family now. Simone has had a far more colorful and trying life than I though so its no wonder she is gruff and so work focused but Jack is just so delicious not only does he look good, have amazing cooking skills but he is also a great day to Lolly so Simone is going to have to work hard at not falling for him. This is a great read with a mix of attraction, steamy scenes, mystery, a splash of suspense and some laughs that will keep you hooked until the end!

First, let me say that I FLOVE this cover. Sweet lord. Might be one of my favorites. I hadn't realized until I got into the story that this was part of the Callahan series. That didn't stop me from enjoying it as it's a standalone. One of my favorite things about this author is that she doesn't skimp on the details. She creates a story where her characters can grown from the amazing storyline that she has created.
I loved Jack, Simone, and Lauren. This story showed the importance of finding time to trust in the notion of love.

If you can't handle the heat... don't open this book ;)
I have loved getting to know Simone as a secondary character in the first five books and I am thrilled this twice married successful chef and restaurant owner gets a chance to find love. And she does this with one of the chef's in her restaurant, single dad, softly spoken and big bicep'ed Jack. These two don't see eye-to-eye at all times and I love that. A more mature relationship - which I adore! - these two bring a realism to the baggage that can come with a couple who have been married and/or have past relationships. A great story about an amazing couple!!
