I loved this book. I loved reading all the little stories about their past and especially the part of what happened after Winter. If only there were so many more of them!

*4.5 stars*.
That ending is..... it’s perfection. I love this series so much!! The concept is so familiar yet new. The only reason I gave it a 4.5 star instead of 5 is because of the chapter My Little Android. I just wasn’t pulled into that chapter for some reason therefore I spent 2 weeks pushing the book aside. Maybe it’s because it wasn’t centered around the characters I love in the actually series. But aside from that, the book is really good and I recommend it 100 percent.

Stars Above is a collection of stories that tells you the history of all the beloved characters in this series: Cinder, Kai, Iko, Thorne, Cress, Scarlet, Wolf, Winter, Jacin, and even Michelle Benoit! It felt amazing to read about each of their past and how they became who they were as we know in the four books.

There are nine stories in total, told from the point of view of each of the characters. I enjoyed reading all of them, but I particularly love "The Princess and the Guard" and "Something Old, Something New". In "The Princess and the Guard" story, we learn more about Winter's childhood and her friendship/love with Jacin, why she decided to stop using her glamour (it's heartbreaking), and how she got the scars (again, heartbreaking). I was heartbroken when I read about the servant and what she went through. It was sexual assault in the most brutal way, I can't imagine my mind being held against my will for anything, let alone sexual assault. I can now understand why Winter decided to stop using her glamour. I was so sad when I read about how Jacin stood by her when she developed the hallucinations. I sobbed when Jacin held her to stop her from hurting herself, it was a gut-wrenching scene.

"Something Old, Something New" took a different turn and was a joy to read! Spoiler alert: an Earthen and Lunar wedding is happening! It felt amazing to read a story where the Rampion crew is together again and I think how they prepared the wedding is such a great nod to their friendship. The wedding was sweet and intimate and I may have shed a tear or two!

All in all, I think that Marissa Meyer imagined the world of the Lunar Chronicles so well. The story, plot and characters are great. I rate Stars Above five stars! I would highly recommend the companion novels to lovers of this series! It's a must-read!

I still absolutely love this collection of stories involving the characters from the past few books. It's so wonderful to be able to read about certain events that completely changed their lives, which happened before the events in the books, that eventually led them to that point. It's also so incredibly wonderful to be able to finish this collection with that very last story. It's genuinely the most perfect ending that I could've expected.

I absolutely loved this ending to the series. The small stories made it easy to read but also made me want to not put down the book because I just wanted to know how it all ended. I can’t believe there isn’t more that I can read about some of my favorite characters but this ending was perfect.
