I really enjoyed this audiobook and loved the performance— but I wished the ending was more epic

I loved this book! Everyone was so vivid and the writing was really good. And I loved the audiobook narrator!
Some scenes seemed to go on a little longer than necessary, and some things were a bit repetitive but it didn't detract from my enjoyment at all.
I will definitely be reading the sequel!

If I can crawl into this book and give it a massive hug I would. I love every second of this book from
The opening chapter to the final words in the final chapter. FMC was complex, funny, strong, full of flaws and a true hero. The MMC is kind, not brutish, incredibly smart, and not patronizing in his admiration of her. It’s not a book of forced romance, fake plot holes, or drama. It naturally unwinds itself going through themes of generational trauma, grief, chosen family, etc. best part is it’s based in Seattle and  Puget Sound!

Three stupids make a DNF
 - Stopping to buy boba while undercover in enemy territory
 - Picking a screaming fight with your bodyguard while in enemy territory
 - Turning into a 'giant talking cat' while undercover in enemy territory

Imagine Eragon doing that in book #2
