See my web site for a full review of “Sword Dance”.
Very fun, while also being very heartfelt. Loved the characters, main and side (Give me Nione/Aradne or give me death!) and will be reading the sequel promptly.

Just chugging through books I'd checked out and never read.
I probably should have dropped this one a few chapters in - I felt absolutely no connection with any of the characters. And everything was just too....one-dimensional? Like, the background plot wasn't too bad, but in actuality everybody was super one-dimensional.
I think Varazda was the closest to having facets, but his main one was prickly and offputting and the other one annoyingly solicitous so blegh on the whole thing. I probably would have given it 3 stars if I wasn't so unhappy with the way the mains actually got together.
I need to stop reading books where the main genre is romance.
