This felt like tragedy voyeurism. Too much sadness and disaster and the lighthearted parts are breezed over. The reader is told the characters make good instead of being shown and everything is just magically fine at the end.

Lenny’s parents fucked her life up but it’s all good cause I’m the end

her mom confesses, SHE confesses, privilege gets her out of jail (literally) and Matthew is alive and she gets away with murder

alls well that ends well. If you like man vs nature and man vs man +

domestic violence where the abuser gets what’s coming to him

then you’ll love this
