Once again, I can't wait to read the next book in the series. The last paragraph had me reeling!

I’m absolutely not a fan of Lena in this Grant County series. Yes I feel bad for what she has gone through and terrible things seem to happen to her quite often but she is also a terrible person!! And she does terrible things and is TERRIBLE at her job. But the story and plot of solving this murder was the redeeming factor in this book because I really didn’t see the ending coming.

This book was a bit... daft.

In this book there are a spate of suicides on a local university campus in rural Georgia (USA). Sara Linton, local paediatrician, and coroner (yeah go figure) is called in and demonstrates that they were murders.

Her ex-husband, Jeffery is the Police Chief, but instead of being his usual, sensible self, he comes over all big man on campus, going off half-cocked at Lena Adams, a former deputy who holds they keys to case. The story would have been much shorter for sure, if he hadn't been such a jerk to her.

Sp all in all, not the greatest book in the series.
