What a super, cool book this was! It was quirky and funny and cheesy all at the same time, but it worked. The images of the Ninja grandmother were delightful. I liked the contrast of feelings that the little boy experienced. There was so much there that could be used as a catapult for teaching about expressing feelings. I also liked how the little boy was able to use all that he learned from his grandmother in his big game. Finally, I must say that the ending was hilarious. I cannot wait for the next adventure!

My kids can be somewhat hard to please when it comes to books I read to them. I think this one falls into the category of books that I enjoyed more than they did. I was sure that the idea of a ninja grandmother would thrill and delight all of my children, from the 3 year old to the 8 year old.... but I was wrong. The 8-year-old was mildly entertained, the 5-year-old sat still with her eyes glazing over, and the 3-year old actually walked away.

Now, I'll admit that the book could have been more clever and original but I still thought it was a fun idea. The writing wasn't dreadful but it wasn't great either (however, I should point out that this rarely matters to my little ones).

This was one of those books that I'd rather read than another Disney princess story... but I guess my chitlins disagree.

Много готина и щура детска книжка. За неразбориите, които са следствие от факта, че баба ти е нинджа. И за ползите от това да имаш баба-нинджа.

Loved this book! A little boy has a ninja for a grandma and soon finds out it's not as acceptable as he thought. The ending is perfect. Great story.

Even though I normally don't review picture books, when I saw the title My Grandma's A Ninja, I just knew I had to read it. I mean, Ninja Grannies. Do I need to say more?

It was a cute picture book with a story as far as those stories in picture books go. I haven't tried the book on young children but I think they would have liked it. Only thing I'm not completely sure of is, would they know what a ninja is at that age...

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
