I really enjoyed this one. Thomar and Varin have been held captive by the hive for over 2 years and been experimented on during that time. They have now escaped and destroyed the hive base and are now dealing with the aftermath. Thomar is in massive pain all the time and ready to die but Varin wants him to hold on and wants the mate that they have been matched to. Danika has been in prison for years as well and has now made the choice to enter the program and is hopeful for her match and a happy ending. When she arrives she gets a surprise when she is told that Thomar is ready to die and only Varin shows up to get her. I loved her fight and refusal to give up and quit though. She pushes for her time and to have a shot and puts her mating collar on. I loved the way that this one developed and it had some twists and turns and possible developments with the hive as well so super excited for what is coming next.
The narrators did a great job with the story and characters.

This went from one of the worst to one of the best to one of the worst combinations of this series 😅 The internal damage all MC’s had was ridiculous. The author always shows the after effects and never describes the actual behind the scenes story. FM’s underdeveloped backstory is even worse. Yeah, she kinda explains in the middle, but it’s not enough for a decent plot.
Then in the middle it got good? Plot development was decent, there was the interaction with the Nexus 5, that hinted at greatness. This series could be so great, just remove the over the top porn and develop the underlying plot. Because the crash was the public sex scene at the end. Like WHY?

4.25/5 ⭐
3/5 🌶️

## Tropes
-Threesome
-Prisoner matched to an alien
-I'll save you

## 📖 My Thoughts
The spice is always giving and these two stood out a bit because one of them is 'too damaged' and originally refuses the bond. FMC isn't having any of it and accepts the pair warts and all. Also another development in the underlying storyline. Helion is a dickwad.

## ⚠️ Triggers
-Forced pregnancies mentioned
-Imprisonment
-Mentions of torture
-Mentions of discrimination based on family

## 🌶️ Spice
Spice was great as always. There's lots of scenes with the 3. I wish one of them had crossed swords, that would make it even better. Spice happens quite quick

Danika accepts the opportunity to be matched with an alien male in the Interstellar Bride Program so she can get out of prison and can leave her bride payment to her younger brother Josh.

Danika is mated to two Prillion warriors who have escaped captivity and torture at the hands of the Hive. Thomar doesn’t want to subject a mate to his pain and suffering and he rejects her. Varin, Thomar’s second falls for Danika’s seduction at Thimar’s bedside in the med bay. Danika is determined to claim the gorgeous alien warriors she’s been matched to and puts on their mate collar to attempt to reach Thomar under all the pain he is suffering.

These three have all faced tremendous pain, suffering and less than what they deserve. Together they are a well matched threesome and love quickly blossoms as they spend lots of sexy time strengthening their bond.

The last third of the book adds some action as Danika, Thomar and Varin go on a mission to save human women and infants held prisoner by the Hive.

This was a fast-paced, sexy and entertaining read. It was a little shorter than I anticipated, but a satisfying read none the less.

I've only read one other book in this series, so while I enjoyed it, I think I would have got more out of it if I was more familiar with the other books. I liked the connection between Thomar, Varin and Danika. All three have been let down by people that should have cared for them, so it's natural that they are all drawn to each other. I actually really liked the intimacy and the caring between these characters. I found it actually very sweet. As you would expect, there is plenty of sexytimes as well as drama as things don't go smoothly for them. There are plenty of characters from the other books in the series (I'm presuming) as well as some who obviously get their own story in the future. This is a fun, quick, lighthearted read that is easy to enjoy.

I wanted to like this more then I did and I'm still confused if the group is going to survive the implants. Not one of her better books.

really liked it however wasn't my favourite Goodwin book. there was a lot of push pull and then it didn't feel like they connect emotionally. I do hope hellion gets his own book soon because I think that will be fascinating.

Danika, the female human lead, has been in prison for murder for many years. Now that her brother has aged out of foster care, she’s joined the bride program to provide with funds to start his life.

Thomar and Varin, the male alien leads, are from a society that mates in triads but they’ve been significantly damaged by enemy experiments and are living in pain on the brink of insanity. They don’t want to harm a mate and so try to refuse her but she’s determined to get what she was promised, even in the face of enemy challenges.

This story is tri POV, well written, and a great addition to this series. I enjoyed how persistent Danika was and how she fought to get and keep her relationship.

Steamy and heart warming, Thomar, Varin and Danika have a story with many ups and downs. It is full of suspense, excitement, romance, and heart. It can easily be read as a standalone but does have crossover with previous characters that were featured in other books. This is very well written and developed story.

A light, easy read. I would have given it 4 stars if my version did not have a significant number of misspelled and missing words.
