I've heard great things about both Mary Higgins Clark AND Alafair Burke, and when I saw this new item (something I could check off my 2016 Reading Challenge list--namely, "an item published this year"), I jumped at the chance to read it!
I really loved the premise of this story--it's about a gal who is a TV Program producer, who specializes in bringing cold cases to light and attempting to solve them on video. This is the second in a series, but it didn't seem to hurt me, not having read the first one. There are obviously characters that had been introduced before, but they were reintroduced in such a way that it didn't seem redundant to me. (It's important to me, when I jump into the middle of a series, to be able to pick it up without feeling like I've missed anything; but I also don't want to feel like I'm being patronized by the author striving hard to bring me up to speed--this book was the perfect balance, in that respect.)

Entretenido y fácil de leer. Buena opción para momentos de resaca literaria o vacaciones en la playa (en serio 😂).

I had no idea what to expect from this book and I was pleasantly surprised. No work of literary genius, but it kept my attention on a weekend road trip. I enjoyed the characters and all the possible ways the story would go. I could see the pattern of how the author exposes different people throughout the book getting old (and of course the last one you expose is the guilty party). So reading this as a one off was probably a good idea, rather than binge reading a bunch of her works. I did feel like I came up with a way more creative ending and wish it could've been a bit more out there, but I still enjoyed it.

Was going through a reading slump so I decided to ease in with an audiobook. I listened to this book every time I was in the car (sans kids). It soon got to the point where I then also listened while I cleaned the house so I could finish the book. I guessed the killer very early on but enjoyed the story progression and character development a lot and now I have to finish the series!

Five years ago Amanda Pierce was excitedly preparing to marry her college sweetheart in a lavish ceremony at The Grand Victoria Hotel in Palm Beach. Then, with their guests and families on site, Amanda disappeared.

In present-day New York City, Laurie Moran realizes a missing bride is the perfect cold case for her investigative television series, Under Suspicion. She and her team set out to recreate the night of the disappearance at the Florida resort with Amanda’s friends and family in attendance, hoping to shed new light on the mystery as the series has done in past episodes. With a jealous sister, playboy groomsmen, Amanda’s former fiancé now married to a bridesmaid, and rumors about the “beloved” bride herself, Laurie and Under Suspicion host Alex Buckley quickly realize everyone has a theory about why Amanda vanished into thin air.

One thing is certain: whoever was behind Amanda’s disappearance plans to keep the truth hidden “until death do they part…”

This is the third instalment (although the blurb says second) in the Under Suspicion series and like the previous two Laurie Moran leads her television crew into a high profile mystery, this time the investigation involves the disappearance of a bride just before her wedding.

As with all of Mary Higgins Clark's books, the writing is smooth and the short chapters help to build the momentum. The fast paced plot keeps you guessing and as soon as you think you've solved it, another piece of information is added into the mix and muddies the waters all over again.

Although this is a collaboration book, the storyline sticks to Clark's usual style and it will keep you guessing to the end.

3.5 stars. Enjoyable quick read that kept me guessing. The end was a little out there but I'll definitely be reading more from the pair.

Book 3 brings another likable story with a wide range of characters and a classic "who-dunnit" premise. Really liking the plot and the outcomes of this series.
