I normally would not choose a book like this, but my dad sent me the audiobook. It was only an hour long, so I gave it a try. I’m glad I did.
This is a sweet short story with a decent message about self esteem. It very much invokes Winnie the Pooh. Going into it I was expecting this story be a little more deep and philosophical, but it’s not. It’s definitely trying to be, but the message almost beats you over the head with sweetness. Most of what would be considered “philosophical” is just a bunch of inspirational quotes you would probably see on Pinterest. I don’t think that’s a bad thing though.
The corny sweet lines in this book are honestly things that some people do need to hear. It almost makes me think this story is more intended for children.

Ho trovato un libro incompleto o in alternativa un progetto che non doveva realizzarsi in un libro.
Si parla di gentilezza, amore, crescita personale in una cornice che sembra quella di un nuovo winnie the Pooh. Il problema è che rispetto a Winnie qui non abbiamo una storia ma una serie di frasi accompagnate da disegni. Intuiamo che il bambino stia facendo un viaggio ma niente più di questo.
Purtroppo il prodotto finale è una serie di frasi motivazionali un po' scontate per gli adulti e troppo decontestualizzate per i bambini che avrebbero bisogno di una narrazione che li faccia crescere insieme al protagonista.
Nota positiva i disegni sono bellissimi.

I read this a few years ago and I loved it then, but I revisited the story on audio. This book is so delightful on audio! The author's voice is like a warm hug and it's just perfect. If you need a comforting listen to remember that there's still good in the world, I highly recommend this!

This book is so incredibly pure and I loved every single second of it. There are a few cliché lines here and there, but that didn’t bother me at all because it just... felt right? Some moments gave me chills, I’ve never felt so connected to all the characters of a story in such a sort amount of time.
There are quotes and lessons in this book that are incredibly valuable, even for adults. This is definitely the kind of book that I want to read it to my kids if I have them one day.
