Feels Like Falling is a light beach read about friendship between women and them learning to trust themselves and to follow their bliss. The narrative alternates between the two main characters Gray and Diana. Gray is a 34-year old woman who's husband has recently left her for his 28-year old co-worker. Gray founded a multi-million dollar internet marketing company while in college, so lives comfortably with her 8 year old son in their Cape Carolina coastal home. Diana is a 40 year old woman who has always struggled financially and with love. Her mother disappeared when Diana was a child, sending her and her 3 siblings into the world of foster care. After Gray accidentally gets Diana fired, Gray tries to make it up to her and the two strike up a friendship.

This was a light, easy read where nothing too tragic happens, so it is overall a feel-good book. This was the first book that I've read by this author and I may have to check out more. It's not a genre/style that I've read much in.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher Simon and Schuster for a free galley in exchange for my honest review. Feels Like Falling is an endearing story of finding friendship, family, and love (and even oneself) in the most unexpected times and places. Even though there are many sorrowful moments, the author balances it well with lightheartedness and witty characters. I read the majority of this book in one sitting on a Sunday morning and I think it is the sweetest remedy for these odd "Covid-19 lockdown" days we are currently living.

I would give this book 3.5 stars over 3. This book was a quick read. I felt that this was a touching and powerful story. This book was definitely more character driven, but I was able to feel connected to both characters. I liked how it showed the life of two completely different women. Enjoyed the two point of views from the main to characters Gray and Diana. This was a great book about friendship, as friendship was definitely the core to this story.
