I don’t know why, but I always thought this was a duology. I was screaming at the last 100pages on how this would wrap up, I’m so happy it will have another book! Love how the second book expand on some characters and deepens the political plots, also love how the magic is slowly building up to be something much bigger. Can’t believe I now have to wait for the next one😭

Definitely a stronger book than the fírst in the series, the hammer to the head info dumping relaxed a little! All the same, I’m not sure this series has really ‘clicked’ with me, at times I felt I couldn’t put the book down, others I felt like I didn’t want to pick it up.
As I said with TSC, this book should be right up my alley with the political intriege and minimal romance plot, but I’m somehow left wanting, and I can seem to put my finger on why!
