I seem to be only reading really LONG books that could/should have been shortened, alas. This one and the SwordCatcher were quite long with some intriguing plot lines, but could have been edited quite a lot. Sadly, there will be a sequel to The Rag Picker King.

I never got into her more mainstream series but took a chance on the “Swordcatcher” and was absolutely caught. This second book is even better than the first with even more character development and so many plot twists that you cannot predict. This has to be the best fantasy series I’ve read in a decade. I cannot wait for the third book.

I WAS NOT A BIG FAN OF THE FIRST BOOK, SO I WAS SCARED OF THE 2ND ONE BUT IT WAS TRULY INCREDIBLE, I LOVE LIN AND KEL AND ANTONETTA. I WAS NOT EXPECTING THE TWIST AT THE END AND I HOPE CONOR GETS JUSTICE SOMEHOW AND GOES BACK TO BE BESTIES WITH KEL.
Is it bad to ship Lin with Aron more than with Conor? Help.

This one was a hard one for me to rate. The first half was very slow and I wasn’t a big fan of most of the extra character POB chapters. The second half really picked up steam though and I thought the story arcs were very well developed and the twists were satisfying.

So much better than the first book for me. I actually started to like Lin and Connor here, both as separate characters and as a couple so that’s good but again. KEL IS MY BABY. I actually love him he’s such well portrayed character and I just. Ugh everything he does is >>>>>>
Cassie also knows how to do found family and let me tell you. The found family was found familying. Loved it. I cannot wait for the Merren and Jerrod side romance. She does boys in love so good. I really see the plot coming together and I can’t wait for the third book honestly. This woman is my favorite author for a reason
