I think this is def the sub genere of of cozy fantsay i like with more of a clear plot. I do tend to get board in battle books and That was def the laster half of this book!! But i really loved the the characters adn the unique magic sytem and the dymamics of the characters def gave me keeper of the lost cities vibes!!

I liked this one about half-way through. It started off pretty slow, but there were several action scenes by the middle of the book.

What a fun, cozy, adventure book! Only not 5 stars because I wanted even more baking magic. Otherwise, this was a really fun read. I loved the characters, the messaging about wars and the idea of what a hero is, and of course, Bob and the Gingerbread Man (who needed a name dang it!)
