Great read. Loved the world and the variety of magic users. Kingfisher is really good with writing young people and how they navigate their world and the world of adults. Lots of twists and turns. I almost didn't pick this up because the cover looked very juvenile but I'm glad I did. Memorable- really imaginative but lots to dig into in how our own world operates and how fear mongering etc. are effecting us today.
