Lucy learns she is no longer a runner, who runs from her problems, but she finds strength and courage. Asher learns trust and love, and how to let someone in. This isn't just a romance book, it's so much more!!
Parker S. Huntington will go far, if she keeps writing like this!

3.5 stars. This was a good, fun novel. A bit of suspense, sex, love, drama. I couldn't give it more stars as I could not stand the main characters inner monologue. And it was a bit predictable. But if you want a fun, quick read, I'd recommend it! I'm already reading the second in the series.
I love this book like literally LOVE it!!! Asher FREAKING Black took me to another world and I really mean that I hardly have books do that to me and this book is one of those. I love the challenge that Lucy puts Asher against not only they care for each other but they fit so perfectly together and I love that!! Aside from the fact that she did fall in love with the MAFIA’S FIXER she never backed down or ran away from him NEVER!! And I love that... I can't wait to read the other books and I can't wait to read Lucy Black book omg I'm so excited!!!
there were some loose ends that weren't completely tied by the end, i think the romance progressed a little too fast for me and as for the conflict Jesus what was that?!
ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS EVER. absolutely in love with the writing and chemistry between the two!! Love it so much that i am going to reread it soon!
Asher Black by Parker S. Huntington was a fun & fast paced read. I received a review copy from the author via Booksprout and dug right in. It is the kind of book that will keep you up way past your bedtime. In addition to being so engrossing, the story itself is actually very sweet. I loved Lucy & Asher together and appreciated the author’s self awareness & sense of humor in having one of the characters point out some of the plot points that might normally feel clichéd. I also thought the various ways we were reminded of the central theme, ‘Courage’ via definitions & quotes throughout was a unique touch & based on the previews to the next two series installments, it looks like the author will continue this tactic. I guess I’ll find out for sure soon enough since I’ve already found the next books & will be digging into them as soon as I hit the submit button on this review 😉
