Fun. Descriptions are sometimes too long, plot is generic but decent enough. Dialogues are really fun, they made me scream and laugh quite a few times.
It's not even that problematic, don't get me wrong there're some very questionable things. Main trope, after all, is sex slaves, but I expected worse.
Author likes to use fancy and obscure words which I found really funny, considering what kind of a book this is.

This book is dark. Very dark. If you're not into that... burn it and fucking run away. The main theme of this book is a powerful prince reduced to the slave of the prince of his enemy kingdom. There is a lot of non consensual sex. There is physical violence described in immense detail. Please beware if you're triggered by those themes

A lot here should trouble the thoughtful reader.  Not in the least a romance at this point, more like mortal enemies to reluctant temporary allies.  It will certainly take two more books to become any kind of love story. There’s no sex here that isn’t either coerced, transactional , or marred by power differentials.  Rape, brutal flogging, court fighting and intrigue.  A preoccupation with beautiful young men and boys with very white skin, often blond.  And too much lingering on adolescents.  “Nicaise’s was the epicene beauty peculiar to young boys of a certain age, short-lived, unlikely to survive adolescence.”  A global sensation indeed.
