The story started out well - then it started to decline.

The annoying things:
- inconsistent descriptions of characters. Either information was repeated with a twist that didn’t make sense or outright we were given opposite information compared to earlier. That made me dislike the book as they kept appearing
- Male character was very Gary Stu. What we were not told he was capable of
- characters are chilling while the would is panicking??
- there was no sense of danger or a reaction to it
- Whats up with the cliffhanger? It is usually not a dealbreaker for me but this one was not even done good. It gave me no suspense that made me want to continue

The good things
- it seemed well researched with included pictures. And was the only exciting thing in the book. This alone get it up to 3 stars

I cannot comment on the politically views as other has mentioned. Maybe because I missed it due to skimming parts of the book.
