Een leuk pakkend boek! De raadsels die je tussendoor zelf kunt oplossen zijn leuk al hadden er van mij wat meer in mogen zitten ;)
Misschien dat ik de rest van de serie ook nog wel ga lezen.

Uses some familiar beats from that other series featuring gifted students that attend a fantastic and adventure filled school but that's hardly an original crime. Kids liked it well enough that we'll be starting the second book later in the week.

Definitely a kids' book, but I I listened to it with my 12-year-old son. I realized after listening to it why he might have been so insistent on me listening to it as well. Never before has he read a series with a main character the same age, race, and interests. Minority representation in books is so very important for children of color.

I really enjoyed book 1 and am excited to read book 2 and share this series with my readers. Love the illustrations included and the information shared at the end of the book. Great representation of explorers/scientists around the world and the projects they are working on.

Really 4.5 stars. I am impressed with Nat Geo's first foray into fiction. I know the finished product will be even better, with completed illustrations and profiles. I am looking forward to the rest of the series. I sense that it will be popular with both the science and adventure readers.

Read while leading a tween book club. They loved it and I enjoyed it, too!
