I was glad to see the Dark World continue, this one put a big jump on the time line from the end of the last series, The Angel Trails. This puts you 16 years later from the birth of Selena. She has grow up with some very big secrets being kept from her and those will be the ones that get her into trouble that she never thought possible. Being throw into a world that she doesn't know very much about nor who to trust may just cost her, her life, if she isn't careful. The book is full of many ups and down, and it's own mysteries. You also finally get to learn more about the Faerie world that you have only gotten glimpses of in the other series. Great read, ready for the next one already.

oh good god. could get it for free, so i figured why tf not.

well, for those of you considering it, i can now tell you why~

well, #1: this is absolutely a hunger games ripoff.
#2: it's predictable af. what is the point
#3: the stereotypical protagonist. once again. what is the point
#4: the romance was. it was. not good. julian was giving me predator vibes???? i just don't like it.
#5: honestly just all of it.
#6: the plot was questionable at best.

if you're looking for entertaining trash, this is it. because it's nothing if not dramatic.

Kinda feels like this is fanfic & not a true original book? Does feel like a knock off of the hunger games to a degree. Will probably keep reading just to see how closely it turns out ti be like that storyline

Let’s start with what I didn’t like. The plot was predictable. The relationship between the characters (romantic or not) felt rushed and insta. For example Selena was blushing and Wishing she could meet him again after only one chapter. Or when Selena’s dad kidnapped her. She got mad but after a chapter she warmed up to him. Like these rushed relationships just made it hard to take it seriously.
However I liked the pace. I loved how we weren’t spending 100 pages just introducing characters. I loved the chapter length. Only 5 pages. That made me read this entire thing in 1 day. And I kinda liked the characters like Finn. Overall it was an okay book. I might continue the series just because it leaves on a cliffhanger. But I am not like running to read it. If you know what I mean.

big brother meets amazing race but add fairies

This book was so fluff filled I almost felt embarrassed reading it but I was hooked from the first page. There were quite a few plot holes (why didn’t FMC care about telling her parents where she was?) but as long as you don’t take it too seriously it’s a quick and fun read
