Many interesting essays that helped me reflect on how Black people experience nature in the US.

I thought this provided novel insight into ways of interacting with the world that are different from those I normally read about. The Black perspective on the natural world is often not welcome or asked for, so this is an important artifact of archival. That being said, this book was a little more spiritual than what I normally go for and it felt a little English major-y (some might say pretentious). I would recommend it if you liked the high school English unit on transcendalism, but it's not really my cup of tea.
