Loved the representation in this book but thought the writing was poor. It jumped all over the place and took a long time to get to the point and resolution. Also, way too much sex for my liking which seemed to be used as filler at times.

I was a child. I was just a little girl.

there’s something so captivating about haley jakobson’s writing. the back and forth from present and past and sav’s relationship with izzie is painful to read but it breathes a lot of life, and sav’s relationships with her new friends are a joy to read. a beautiful coming of age.

I swear it feels like parts of this book were just an interpolation of my life. It hurt and comforted me so much and for any white bi women who discovered themselves in college and felt like an impostor and was SAed it will hurt so much and just hug you at the same time. I’m older now and know myself better but god I wish I could have given this book to 20 year old me, they really could have used it <3
