I enjoyed the final book of this trilogy. I enjoyed the story of the rebels and the background history about

their leader

. I also found the themes of abuse and interpersonal violence to have been handled well and helped clarify a lot about the characters involved. 

The only downside for me - a big chunk of the story is stuck in plot that doesn’t move the story forward and doesn’t add much context or history ex.

all the travel to get the swords

and it ultimately doesn’t matter much by the end, so it felt like filler. I wish we got more reading time on the other characters instead!

Overall, I enjoyed the trilogy and recommend it!
